The Texas Commission on Virtual Education has announced its upcoming meeting schedule, with its first one set for February 23rd at 10 AM. The commission is tasked with developing a permanent framework for virtual education in Texas public schools. The current rules allowing for local remote learning programs expire after the 2022-23 school year.
The commission, which was established by HB 3643 (87th Regular), consists of 13 members appointed by the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, and State Board of Education Chair.
